Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up others according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

This is what we're meditating on and memorizing this week. It's not just for my children though, it's for me as well. I'm definitely lacking in this department especially when I get frustrated or overwhelmed.
I want my words to speak the love that is in my heart for my family, but it's not always that easy when the girls are yelling at each other for the 100th time and Levi won't take out the trash and it's overflowing.
Today I've committed to only speaking with love and I've noticed a difference in myself. I'm more deliberate with my words, I pause before I speak, and I'm much slower to anger.
